Major: Biochemistry (Pre-medicine) 

Year of Study: Sophomore

How I plan to use STEM in my career: I want to be an anesthesiologist so understanding scientific concepts is crucial for me to give patients the best care possible. My degree in STEM will prepare me for the world of medicine, and give me the skills to understand biology, chemistry, and other sciences that pertain to patient care. Medicine is a heavily science-focused field so I will be using STEM for the rest of my career. 

I want to sincerely say thank 7x24 Silicon Prairie so much for your continued support in helping to further my education through the 7x24 Silicon Prairie Scholarship Award. I am a Biochemistry student on the pre-medicine track at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and these funds were crucial to helping me pay for my textbooks and class fees this semester. With your support, I am able to focus on my academics rather than trying to working extra hours to pay for the things I need. In the future, I hope to be an anesthesiologist who can give back to my community. Once again, thank you so much for your generous award and the contribution it makes toward furthering my education.
