The 7x24 Exchange – Silicon Prairie Chapter Scholarship will greatly alleviate the financial burden associated with pursuing higher education. It will enable me to focus more on my studies and involvement with research extracurricular activities that enhance my skills and knowledge without the added stress of financial constraints. 

This support will provide me with the opportunity to access resources and experiences integral to my academic and professional growth such as specialized courses, workshops, and research materials that will deepen my understanding of my field of study and contribute to my development as a future leader in the industry.

The recognition and support from the 7x24 Exchange – Silicon Prairie Chapter Scholarship motivate me to maintain academic excellence and actively contribute to my community. I aim to leverage this scholarship to not only excel academically but also engage in initiatives that promote sustainability, innovation, and diversity within my academic and professional spheres.

Mathematics

Thank you so much for this honor! I am humbled and grateful to be selected. I plan to use this scholarship to support my studies in data science as I work on solving problems that impact people and the environment. My main interest in STEM fields concerns analyzing and interpreting information efficiently, expanding our understanding of the world around us.

My more immediate plans include attending the University of Minnesota Twin Cities to pursue a degree in mathematics. After that, I intend to pursue a graduate degree (or two), with my sights on the University of Michigan. I am incredibly excited to dive in and discover new ideas and be part of developing new tools to help us better understand and improve the world around us. In the longer term, I think that this will include some combination of teaching and research in mathematics related fields. Your support will help me on my way, reducing some of the concerns with funding this education.

Lindsay mueller

Biomedical Sciences

Upon completing my degree in Biomedical Sciences, I will apply to medical school with the hope of being a vascular surgeon one day. Surgery is particularly interesting to me because I love anatomy and physiological sciences, as well as the intricacy of the operating room technology. I plan to utilize biomedical technology such as radiology, robotic surgical devices, and virtual reality to provide the best clinical outcomes possible. Additionally, having the opportunity to work alongside biomedical technologists and fellow providers to research preventative methods for vascular disease is a huge goal of mine. With the help of technology, I hope to increase access to individualized, quality healthcare while making advancements in vascular practices.

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to 7x24 Silicon Prairie for considering me a recipient of the 7x24 Silicon Prairie Scholarship Award. Having a job while being a full-time student can be stressful, and I am relieved to have come one step closer to my goal – and that is because of your support. This scholarship will help pay for tuition, books, and other fees so that I can focus on my studies and reduce work hours. Your generosity will allow me to continue my education, and eventually give back to the community by practicing medicine. Thank you again for investing in my future.

Thank you so much! I am grateful and honored to have been chosen as a recipient for this incredible scholarship.

The 7x24 Exchange - Silicon Prairie Chapter Scholarship will be beyond helpful as I continue working towards my Mechanical Engineering degree at Iowa State. It will alleviate my financial burden throughout the next few years and allow me to wholly focus on my studies and pursue my dream career. I am excited to use my engineering career to improve the lives of others through technology and innovation, and this scholarship will enable me to pursue these aspirations. 

As a STEM student, it means the world that innovative companies like yourself are willing to invest in my future and success. I wholeheartedly agree that investment into the education of promising young students will benefit society as much as it personally benefits us.
